0:06Congratulations on getting accepted in our Master's in Psychology program at Divine Mercy University, And welcome to your journey through our unique program and to our virtual learning community of students from literally all over the world. My name is doctor Julia Clowesli, and I am the program director of the MSP program. As a faculty, we have worked very hard to create a program that allows you not only to establish a deep knowledge base in psychology, but also to gain this wonderful vision of the flourishing person through the integration of psychology, theology, and philosophy. I think you will find it quite eye opening and an exciting tool for understanding yourself and others. We know that starting a new program, especially an asynchronous online program, can feel a little scary.
0:59Newly admitted students in the past have expressed questions like, how will I get all the information I need? Will I be alone and having to manage the course material? Or will I meet other students at all? In the master's in psychology program, we're extremely intentional about connecting with every student to ensure that everybody has the support they need and like. Through discussions, live Zoom meetings like our virtual residency and WhatsApp groups, you will be able to connect with your fellow students and support each other as you begin this journey of studying psychology. In addition, we want you to know that you will not be alone on this journey. Every student is assigned a faculty adviser who will meet with you individually and guide you through the program and through your capstone project.
1:50The faculty of the MSP is extremely excited to meet you and to get to know you and to help you flourish in our program. Please know that we are here to answer any questions you might have. There's one person I would especially like to introduce you to as you begin your studies. This person is Marita McCormick. She's our student success advisor and disability support service coordinator. She can help you answer all kinds of questions related to academic support to ensure your academic success. So congratulations again, and welcome to our community.
